The Tooting and Mitcham FC Football Academy reflects an ethos, which combines the provision of sporting excellence with a full-time education program. TM UNITED’s vision is to be the hub of the community which it serves. TMU Academy seeks to represent the interests of our community in youth football. We have developed a philosophy in the academy relating to the development of the individual player; technically, physically, mentally and tactically. Our academy is very well respected and has a strong reputation for developing young players. We are a non-result based academy; we purely focus on developing our youngsters. We ensure good pastoral care outside football preparing our students for further education or the work environment. Our Academy is run in association with Ernest Bevin Sports College.

The Academy fits into the TMU football pathway feeding our youngsters into the first team which has proved very successful. In the last two seasons we have had 5 boys graduate from the academy and play regularly in our first team, and in the forthcoming season the first team manager is promoting another 3 academy boys. Our youngsters attract strong interest from professional clubs and some boys have had trials with championship and premiership clubs.
