Dave Cobb

The club are sad to announce the news that former goalkeeper, Dave Cobb, has recently passed away.  Dave joined us in 1972 having previously played for Kingstonian and Walton & Hersham.  He soon proved to be one of our best ever keepers, making over 150 appearances and earning himself an England Amateur Cap in 1973.  He is probably best know for his penalty save against Crystal Palace in 1974 in the FA Cup 1st Round.  He subsequently went on to play for  Croydon where he went one round further in the cup.
