Everybody at Tooting & Mitcham United were sad to hear of the recent passing of our former player Paul Gbogidi aged just 60.
Paul was a tough-tackling midfielder who played for the club in the 1995/96 season, making his debut against Abingdon Town in March 1996, at our old home of Sandy Lane. The match ended in a 1-0 victory for the Terrors.
Paul also turned out for Bashley, Bognor Regis Town, Boreham Wood, Bromley, Carshalton Athletic, Chessington United, Croydon, Dorking, Dulwich Hamlet, Epsom & Ewell, Kingstonian, Leatherhead, Walton & Hersham, Wealdstone, Weymouth and Worthing United. When he retired from the game, he became a Community Officer for the Metropolitan Police.
