Sadly for us, Shay Brennan has left the club as he moves to Singapore with work. 47 goals from 71 appearances means Shay will be long remembered by all at the club. Here is the article written by Shay for the programme against Balham on 27 December,

As I prepare to leave the club and begin a new chapter of my life in Singapore, I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to every single one of you. Playing for this club for two spells over the last couple of years has been an absolute honour, and I’ve made friendships to last a lifetime.
It has been a rollercoaster journey – starting on trial in the summer of 2023, captaining the side for most of that first season, and going on to win the Golden Boot. This season the goals have been spread much more evenly, which is clearly a good thing as we are quite rightly challenging towards the top of the table.
I’d like to thank a few people who have been a part of my Tooting journey from the beginning: Busy the gaffer, who trusted in me early o
and has always looked after me on and off the pitch. Chewy, a legend of the game – a gentleman off the pitch, but an absolute animal on it! Dale, a key part of the dressing room, bridging the gap between players and management. Sean David – what a guy. Hardest working guy in the room, made sure that I never missed a game through injury and someone I consider a great friend outside of football too.
Tooting & Mitcham United is a huge club at this level, and I am delighted to have played a small part in its recent history. thank you again to the best fans in non-league football for the songs, the laughs, and the support through the good times and the bad.
Relocating to Singapore with work means that it’s a goodbye for now – but not forever; whenever I am in the UK I will try to make a visit to Imperial Fields to cheer the boys on. It’s a twelve hour direct flight, and I’ve told the gaffer i’ll be keeping myself fit in case he needs me for the play-offs! Up the Terrors !
