At our recent home game against Chipstead, Walking Footballer Mick Hyde – the only current international player at Imperial Fields – was presented with his latest Republic of Ireland Walking Football International cap on the pitch prior to kick-off.
Our pictures above show Mick proudly posing with his cap alongside Lyn Catchpole, fellow Walking Footballer Bob Oldfield, and his wife. Later, in the boardroom, he was congratulated on his success by Merton’s Cabinet Member for Sport and Heritage, Councillor Caroline Cooper-Marbiah.
