In a game thrust upon us at extremely short notice, the Terrors kept their unbeaten away record intact by recording an impressive 2-1 win at fellow promotion-chasing outfit Abbey Rangers, who would have leapfrogged us with a win. Unfortunately (but predictably) there were only 89 paying attendees there to see it, and that did not include myself – so i’ve had to gather up whatever info I can glean from social media sites to put together some sort of brief picture of a game that deserves far more coverage than it seems to have received. The lack of photographs online is also telling – can we be sure this game really went ahead? Well, it must have done because if Abbey had fabricated it, they would have dreamt up a better result for them – surely! The points were bagged thanks to goals from Darral Wopara and Alex Cruickshank; Abbey’s response with the best part of half an hour remaining probably gave us some nervous moments late on – particularly as we finished with ten after Darral Wopara was ordered off – but we came through in impressive fashion.
