| 1955 | John Harlow became the club’s first Amateur International. Tooting won the Athenian League title for the second time in history. |
| 1956 | The club joined the Isthmian League. The FA Cup Second Round Proper was reached for the first time when Queens Park Rangers won 2-0 at Sandy Lane before a crowd of over 12,000. |
| 1958 | The club was crowned Isthmian League champions for the first time. Dave Moore, the club’s brilliant goalkeeper who played a major part in the season’s triumph, was tragically killed in a car crash at the end of the season. Football League clubs Bournemouth and Northampton Town were beaten in the FA Cup Proper stages. |
| 1959 | Nottingham Forest visited Sandy Lane in the Third Round Proper of the FA Cup, marking the first time the club reached this stage of the competition. The match ended in a 2-2 draw after Tooting led 2-0 at half-time. The club achieved national fame but lost the replay to the eventual cup winners. They also reached the London Challenge Cup Final, losing to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. |

| 1973 | Dave Juneman scored 42 consecutive penalties, receiving a mention on ITV’s “Big Match” programme. Alan Ives and Dave Cobb played for the England Amateur International team against Greece. |
| 1974 | The club was drawn at home to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup First Round Proper and took a first-minute lead through Steve Grubb, but ultimately lost 2-1. |

| 1976 | Swindon Town were defeated 2-1 in a Third Round FA Cup replay at Sandy Lane, before the club exited in the fourth round away to Bradford City. Later that year, during the following season, they reached the FA Cup Second Round Proper. |
| 1977 | Northampton Town defeated the club at Sandy Lane in the FA Cup First Round Proper. |
| 1978 | The Surrey Senior Cup was won for the third consecutive year, which was the first time this had been achieved in the competition’s history. |

| 1993 | The Full Members Cup was won, securing the club’s first trophy in 15 seasons. |

| 2008 | The club were crowned Isthmian League Division One South Play-off winners. Michail Antonio, who rose through the Tooting & Mitcham youth ranks, signed for Reading and went on to play in the Premier League for West Ham United. |
| 2009 | The club reached the FA Cup First Round Proper for the first time since 1977, losing 5-0 at Stockport County. |
| 2012 | The club suffered relegation back to Isthmian League Division One. |
| 2017 | The club became Isthmian League Division One South champions. |
| 2018 | Immediate relegation followed for the club after just a single season in the Premier Division. |
| 2020 | The 2019-20 football season was cancelled and declared null and void due to the Coronavirus pandemic. |
| 2021 | The 2020-21 football season commenced but was then cancelled and declared null and void due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the London Senior Cup competition was played at the tail end of the campaign, and Tooting lifted the cup by beating a young AFC Wimbledon side 2-1 in the final. |
| 2023 | The club was relegated from the Isthmian League South Central Division to the Combined Counties League Premier Division South. |
