Tooting & Mitcham United FC is proud to announce that its growing youth football section has officially been approved to compete in the Epsom & Ewell Youth Football League ahead of the upcoming season.The approval marks another major step forward in the club’s long-term vision to rebuild and strengthen football pathways for young players across South London. The inclusion of Tooting & Mitcham United youth teams from U10s upwards into one of the region’s respected grassroots leagues represents a significant milestone in the club’s ongoing development both on and off the pitch.
The club’s youth setup has continued to expand rapidly, with a strong focus on player development, coaching standards, community engagement, and creating clear progression routes into senior football. The move into the Epsom & Ewell League will now provide young players with a competitive and structured environment to continue their football journeys while proudly representing the famous black and white colours of Tooting & Mitcham United.
Football Club Chairman Dean Morgan said:
“This is another important moment for the future of Tooting & Mitcham United. We are building something sustainable for the next generation of players and families in South London.
Being accepted into the Epsom & Ewell League gives our young players a fantastic platform to develop, compete, and enjoy football in the right environment.
Our ambition is to connect the entire football pathway at the club — from grassroots football all the way through to the first team. We want local children to dream of one day pulling on the shirt at Imperial Fields and representing this historic football club at the highest level possible.”
The club would also like to thank the league committee, volunteers, coaches, parents, and staff who have supported the application process and continue to help grow youth football within the local community.
