Tooting and Mitcham United 3 Badshot Lea 0

Tooting secured their place in the play offs with a business like 3-0 win over Badshot Lea.
Any pre-match nerves were settled fairly quickly Conor Melody forcing the ball in from close range after 14 minutes. Badshot Lea had a good proportion of possession in the first half but failed to really test the home keeper. Indeed Tooting should probably have got a second goal when Tim Obisanya failed to convert a clear cut chance.
The second half was fiarly stress free with William Efambe on 67 minutes and Alex Cruickshank on 77 minutes securing the win.
Redhill 1 Tooting and Mitcham United 2

Goals in the 94th and 97th minutes saw Tooting achieve an incredible victory at fellow play-off contenders Redhill on a wet and windy evening. It was a well-deserved, if ultimately unlikely, victory as the game entered stoppage time.
Tooting started extremely well with the Redhill goalkeeper forced to make several excellent saves in the first 25 minutes. However, Redhill won a fortuitous penalty on 27 minutes for an inadvertent handball and went ahead.
The goal temporarily knocked the stuffing out the Terrors, with the game much more even for the rest of the half.
Tooting gradually dominated the second half, with a series of Redhill players finding their way into the referee’s book, and eventually a second yellow for Harry Pointing in the 89th minute.
Ultimately, Tooting finally scored following two corners. The first when Conor Melody scored directly from a corner and then Jordy Ndozid scoring from close range after Andy O’Brien headed a corner down.
Amazing celebrations at the final whistle and Tooting remain in third place in the league with two games to go.
Sheerwater 2 Tooting and Mitcham United 4

Tooting overcome going 2 goals behind in the first half, to run our 4-2 winners and secure another important three points.
Despite having some good chances and playing some good football, a late first half goal from Tim Obisanya was required to see the Terrors go in only a goal down at the break. Tim’s goal was a superb finish as he run on to a through ball and slotted past the keeper from the edge of the area.
Tooting controlled large periods of the game in the second half and were rewarded with three goals. Firstly a first club goal from Michael Onovwigun who lashed a loose ball from ten yards following a long throw from Lewis Jackson. Alex Cruickshank added two more, getting on the end of cross from William Efambe who had got free down the left, and then Cruickshank getting on the end of a through ball to seal the victory.
Knaphill 1 Tooting and Mitcham United 3

Tooting bounced back from Saturday’s home defeat with an excellent 3-1 winning performnce at fellow play off contenders Knaphill.
Tooting started the game strongly with a Tim Obisanya effort somehow clearer off the line. Max Oldham’s long range shot was heading towards the top corner before the Knaphill keeper made a fine full stretch save. As the half wore on Knaphill did begin to threaten the Terrors’ goal but the half ended goalless.
Tooting started the second half at a very strong tempo and were rewarded almost immediately with Obisanya heading home at the far post after the Knaphill keeper failed to hold on to a cross.
In the 53rd Tooting doubled their lead with William Efambe scoring from the edge of the area.
At this point the Terrors were cruising as the home side began to get somewhat frustrated. However defensive confusion gave Knaphill a lifetime as they pulled a goal back on the hour against the run of play.
Despite this setback, Tooting continued to be the stronger team and got the all important third goal with Habeeb Adepoju scoring as he picked up a loose ball about 8 yards out.
The game was sawn out with relative ease and an important away secured.
Tooting and Mitcham United 2 Fleet Town 4

A very disappointing afternoon saw Tooting lose 4-2 at home to playoff rivals Fleet Town.
The damage was done in the first half as Fleet scored three without reply.
Tooting were much better in the second half with goals from William Efambe and Max Oldham providing a bit of hope, but the game ended 4-2 to the visitors.
Camberley Town 1 Tooting and Mitcham United 3

A Conor Melody hattrick secured a very important three points for Tooting at Camberley Town.
It took just 5 minutes for the Terrors to open the scoring from a cross/shot that evaded everybody. In truth Tooting dominated large parts of the game, but as often happens the home side equalised when a corner found its way into the Tooting goal.
Despite going closed on several occasions, it was not until deep into first half injury time that Tooting regained the lead with a spectacular overhead volley from Melody.
The second half was generally controlled well by the Terrors, with Conor completinf his hat trick with a superb freekick from 25 yards. There were other chances to extend the lead further, however this was a good hard working performance to take us forward to the last six league games.
Tooting and Mitcham United 2 Horley 0

A Tim Obisanya first half double against fellow play off contenders Horley Town saw Tooting bounce back from their midweek defeat.
A bumper crowd of 315 at a sunny Imperial Fields enjoyed a very professional Terrors performance in a game that was controlled pretty much from start to finish with the Terrors remaining in second place.
